Will Frost Steps Down as Sporting 87 A Team Manager

A Team Manager of 6 and a half seasons Will Frost steps down as A Team Manager after an incredibly successful time in charge. Will managed his final game for the A team against Framlingham Town's A's on the 6th of May. It's been yet another successful season for Will and his assistant manager Graeme Thomas (both pictured here) as they finished 3rd in the SIL Division 4, securing the status of being the 2nd highest ranking A Team in the SIL behind last day opponents Framlingham.

'Will has been a joy to work with for the last 7 years and has played a huge role in the progression of Sporting 87 as a club.'
Jonathan Warnock - Sporting 87 Director of Football

Sporting 87's Director of Football Jonathan Warnock has enjoyed working with Will over a number of years: 'Will has been a really enthusiastic and hard working volunteer at Sporting 87, and he's a really talented coach. Will has totally transformed the A team since taking over 7 years ago, winning the league a few years ago and ensuring that they are now one of the strongest A teams in the SIL. He's been a joy to work with for the last 7 years and has played a huge role in the progression of not just the A Team, but of Sporting 87 as a club.'

Frost will continue working with Sporting 87's U18 Thurlow Nunn team as their Manager in a role which he has been doing for a couple of seasons. This role is critical to improving the pathway for young players from youth football and into the adult section of the Club.
Current A Team players Dan Goodwin and Jono Dorrington will be taking over the reins as A team coaches for the 2023/24 season.
